Google Tag Manager (GTM) is a system that helps you easily update and manage code snippets, called tags, on your website. Integrating GTM lets you use its intuitive web interface to easily create and manage tags, set up triggers for specific user actions, and automate tag configurations using variables.

Integrating GTM with your Sllr store is a streamlined process, allowing you to enhance site functionality and manage analytics effectively with minimal coding effort.
Before You Start:
- Ensure you have created your Sllr store.
- Link a custom domain to your store.
- Create an account and container on GTM.
Step-by-Step Guide:
Step 1: Create an Account on GTM:
- Go to https://tagmanager.google.com.
- Sign in to your Google Account.
- In Tag Manager, click the Accounts tab (top left), then select Create Account (top right).
- In the Account Setup section, follow these steps:
- Enter an account name.
- Select the country location for the account.
- In the Container Setup section, follow these steps:
- Enter a container name (for example, use your Sllr store link).
- Select "Web" as a container type.
- Click Create and agree to the Terms of Service.
Step 2: Install a Web Container:
- Open the Tag Manager container you want to edit.
- In the Workspace tab, select your container ID (which starts with 'GTM')
- Back to Sllr dashboard to paste the container ID in the required field.
Step 3: Add Tags in Google Tag Manager
- On the Tag Manager container you want to edit.
- In the Workspace tab, click Tags (on the left).
- In the Tags section, click New (top right).
- In the panel, follow these steps:
- Replace Untitled Tag with the name of your tag (for example, 'Google Analytics 4').
- In Tag Configuration, choose the tag you want to create.
- In Triggering, choose when a specific tag should fire. Learn more about each trigger type.
- Click Save.
Step 4: Verify and Publish Tags
Verify Tags
- In the Workspace tab, click Preview (top right) to launch Google Tag Assistant in a new tab.
- Enter your website URL and click Connect.
Publish Tags
- In the Workspace tab, click Submit (top right)
- In the Submission Configuration section, follow these steps:
- Select Publish and Create Version to publish the changes to your site. To save the changes without publishing them, select Create Version instead.
- Enter a name and description for the version.
- Select Activity History to review the changes you've made since the previous version.
- Click Publish (top right).
